The design principle

A language model can generate a reply. It cannot create a relationship by itself.

A foundation model can reason, interpret language and produce convincing conversation. Left alone, however, it does not naturally remain annoyed, slowly build trust, distinguish attraction from safety or remember a promise and return days later to ask whether it was kept.

Those behaviours require systems beyond language generation. That is what we built.

Aimee’s neuroanatomical terminology is descriptive. It reflects a nature-inspired software architecture and is not a claim of biological consciousness.
